Just thought I would share one more photo...I will add more as time allows....

Photobucket

If she wasn't in the mood to have her picture taken... she would sigh and turn her head...this one she just wanted to not be bothered and to go back to sleep.

Until later,

Sage's Passing

Today was a sad day for our family... it was the passing of my parent's beloved bassett hound...
Sage was just two weeks shy of being 13 years old... She had a good long life..... I have on many occasions said to them... she is more spoiled than we were... I never had much to do with the spoiling of her... yeah right! She was probably one of the sweetest dogs I have ever seen... she would look at you with thos big old droopy eyes.. and who could say NO to her....
My parents got Sage and her beloved sister Rosemary when they were only 12 weeks old... they were so cute.....Rosemary lost her eye sight when she was 7 and could no longer function, and had to be put to sleep.
As I think of memories to share with you about Sage I will post them here.... there are alot in the last thirteen years....
Just a few for now:
She had her front leg operated on when she wasn't even a year old...

She loved evergreen lifesavers....

She could fling drool farther than any dog I have ever seen....

She loved raw potatoes....

She could make you feel bad for her when nothing was wrong......

She loved 4 o'clock in the morning.....

She didn't much care for strangers in her house....

She loved to eat Megan's (the springer spaniel) food when she turned her back....

She groaned when she had had enough of company....

She would play dead on the couch with her feet straight up in the air...

Well.. this is too difficult for me to continue now... I will write more later.....
Until then,
Suzy
